Voki, PicMonkey, and Photopeach
Create a Voki
Go to www.voki.com
Click on “register” to create a free account.
Check email for confirmation of account if needed and then log in.
Click on “create a new Voki.”
The website will randomly choose a Voki for you to start with. You can change everything about it.
Click on the Icons in the box labeled “Customize your character
Play around with appearance options until you are satisfied. Then click on the green “done” button.
To add voice, click on the source you want to use for sound in the box labeled “give it a voice.”
1. You can have the website call you and you record your own voice talking.
2. You can type the words you want your Voki to say , and you can choose the computerized voice you prefer.
3. You can also use a microphone to record your voice directly on the computer.
4. Or, you can upload a sound file that is already saved to your computer.

Photopeach is another web 2.0 tool used for slideshows.

Create a free account.
Click on “Upload Photos”
Choose the photos you want uploaded.
The site will upload your photos and then open a window showing all your images. You can move the images around to be in the correct order by clicking and dragging them. You can also delete images by clicking and dragging them into the right delete columns.
You can also find pictures on facebook to include in your slideshow.
When you have them in the order you want, click on “Next”
Create a title for your slideshow.
Then look through all the music choices and find a background song you want to use. If you want to purchase a premium account, you can upload your own songs.
Click on Finish
Your slideshow will automatically start playing. At the bottom right, you can choose to see your slide show in a “story” mode or a “spiral.”
To embed, go to “My Shows” at the top. Click on the slide show you want to publish.
Hoover your mouse over the slideshow, and blue icons will show up on the right.
Click on the pencil icon, that says embed on blog.
Copy the embed code you want.
Paste it in the widget text box if you want to add it to your Wiki.
